The ‘Big Library Read’ is an annual event sponsored by Overdrive, the largest ebook platform provider for schools and libraries. Each year librarians and teachers pick a new Young Adult title to be the ‘Big Library Read’. This book then becomes available for unlimited check out through the Overdrive platforms. The goal of this program it to create a global ebook club connecting millions of readers across the world.

This year’s selection is ‘This is Where it Ends’ by Marieke Nijkamp. “Told from four perspectives over the course of 54 harrowing minutes, the students of a fictional high school (Opportunity High) struggle to both survive and understand why one boy started shooting at 10:00 am. This is Where it Ends is a #1 New York Times bestseller, a Publishers Weekly Bestseller, a Barnes and Noble Top Pick and an ABC Best Book for young readers.” (Team Overdrive).

Past titles for the ‘Big Library Read’ are ‘American Sniper’ by Chris Kyle, ‘The Door in the Hedge’ by Robin McKinley, and ‘In the Shadow of the Blackbird’ by Cat Winters.
