Make the most of EBSCOHOST is a free class offered at the Henry County Library to teach patrons how to utilize the powerful research database EBSCOHOST. EBSCOHOST is made up of several useful databases including:
Academic Search Elite: Peer reviewed journals for academics and college bound students.
Consumer Health Complete: Covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream to alternative.
Explora: General research and ebooks.
Explora Elementary: This interface is designed specifically for elementary school students according to their needs and search abilities. This interface is graphically rich and provides access to age-appropriate materials. Now includes topic overviews that provide students with a starting point for research and 60,000 top videos from the Associated Press.
Explora Middle School: This interface is designed specifically for middle school students according to their needs and search abilities. This interface is graphically rich and provides access to age-appropriate materials. Now includes topic overviews that provide students with a starting point for research and 60,000 top videos from the Associated Press.
Explora Educator's Edition: Find more than 2100 full text scholarly journals and over 1,700 peer-reviewed, full-text journals. Collection provides focus on education by provide full text for over 500 high-quality education journals. Explora provides access to lesson plans, students tools, curriculum standards and links to sites valuable for teachers.
EBSCOHost Ebook Collection: Fiction and non-fiction titles for all, including a wide range of subjects and topics.
EBSCOHost Book Collection: Non-fiction full text books for kids and young adults.
Science Reference Center: Teacher and student resources for all science research needs.
This class will teach patrons about all the resources that EBSCOHOST has to offer and how to utilize the database effectively. This class is useful to students of all ages, parents, homeschoolers, and life time adult learners.
