Who Are the Friends of the Henry County Library?

An all volunteer, non-profit group who supports the library by:

• Providing funds for library resources, programs, and services. 
• Promoting reading, literacy, and library use.
• Operating the semi-annual Friends of the Henry County Library book sales.
• Demonstrating community support for the Henry County Library.

What is the purpose of the Friends of the Henry County Library group?

The purpose of the Friends of the Henry County Library group is to develop and maintain an association of library supporters, to heighten awareness of the library services and facilities, to promote public support for the enhancement of library resources, to develop supplemental funding for the library and to provide, sponsor, or support programs that further library objectives.

How can I join?

Annual memberships are available along with a lifetime membership option. Simply fill out a membership form that can be found at either library location. Annual dues are $10.00 per year for individual memberships. Lifetime memberships are available for a one-time payment of $100.00.

What are the benefits of joining the Friends of the Library?

Friends of the Henry County Library annual members receive a 10% discount off library book sale materials, Lifetime members receive a 50% discount off library book sale materials. Both membership levels are entitled to book sale preview events. Friends will also receive periodic newsletters detailing activities and volunteer opportunities.
